Our Story & Mission

Family Nutrition Center of South Florida (FNC) was founded in 1991 by Lucille Beseler MS,RDN,LDN a Registered Dietitian and Licensed nutritionist to deliver comprehensive nutrition services to consumers, health groups and corporations.

Aside from founding FNC, Beseler has a long record of involvement and leadership in the field of Nutrition on the state and national level. She served as the 91st president of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics representing over 100,000 Nutrition professionals. Beseler also chaired the Florida Dietetics Nutrition Practice Council that regulates the profession of nutrition and dietetics.

Beseler is an advocate for nutrition science in preventing and treating chronic diseases with her most notable quote “Nutrition is a Science, Nutrition is not a Fad” delivered at the United Nations and the NASDAQ where she was invited to speak.

“Nutrition and all its related issues are at the center of our public conversation. Creating national health policies that affect millions, based on nutrition science, information and research is essential.”
